Things to see and do in the city

Old Town
Take in Swiss history and culture at the Landesmuseum, and then peruse the RailCity food market (Wednesdays, 10:00-20:00) in the Zurich main station.

Browse the shops and department stores in the Bahnhofstrasse, Zurich's famous shopping avenue, and then duck down Rennweg to the boutiques in the old town.

In the heart of the old town, you can take a break at the Lindenhof park with its views of the river Limmat, before heading further south to the Fraumünster Church, known for its Chagall stained glass windows.

Continuing down the west side of the Limmat, you will find yourself at Bürkliplatz, known for its farmer's market (Tuesday and Friday mornings, until 11:00) and flea market (Saturdays, 08:00-16:00), or you can cross the Münsterbrücke and visit the east side of the Altstadt, home to the Grossmünster Church, as well as many boutiques, cafés, restaurants and the Kunsthaus Zurich.
